Last week stockholders were less than enthused as Lululemon Athletica took a 7% nose-dive after a 52-week high since going public last year. But nevermind that! We’re sure all the Lulu positive thinking will get them back on track! Besides, this is no time to feel down, dear Lulu lackeys for today marks the opening of an addition to the empire, a shiny new outpost on the Upper East Side, NYC’s second location. As one might have guessed, celebratory events are scheduled throughout the weekend, true to Lulu community-harnessing (manipulating) form. Expect to be sucked in by the Lululemon tractor beam.
And by the way, hold onto your wallets, they’re just getting started. Watch out for more stores planned for Soho and Union Square opening some time next year we assume.
