“Be proud of who you are” Good advice for almost everyone. We tend to have trouble recognizing our own accomplishments.

An exceptional friend of mine once sent me this:

The friend who is a helpmate,
the friend in happiness and woe,
the friend who gives good counsel,
the friend who sympathizes too –
these four as friends the wise behold
and cherish them devotedly
as does a mother her own child.

One can do yoga without the poses and likewise do the poses without the yoga. It’s not touching your toes that’s special, it’s the way in which you do it.

“Hug the back of your heart with your shoulder blades!” – I got this from a yogadownload.com podcast class, and it has become a personal mantra. I like how it encourages you to stand tall and open yourself up to the world while giving yourself a secret embrace at the same time. :)

I drink a lot of Peppermint so it makes sense that my quote is from my latest box of Yogi Tea…”The total rythym of life is achieved when you experience your own body , your own mind, and your own soul” Yogi Bhajan—–something I need to work on!

I love the quotes!

I work in social services and one of my favorite Yogi Tea (i’m partial to Chai Redbush) quotes is “live for each other”.

As we continue in this time of national struggle it is important to remember that we must come together as a country and lead lives that help benefit the greater good. I love the thought so much I taped it to the side of my computer and mediate on it whenever I have a tough client or tough situation.

Something I try to work on every day is being CALM so I love the Yogi Tea tag that says, “To be calm is the highest achievement of the self.” … I wrote about it on my little blog:

“Your greatness is not what you have, it’s what you give.”

I wake up every day and ask myself “what can I do to make someone happy today?”. I greet everyone with a warm smile and genuine “Hello, how are you today?”. If someone’s having a bad day, I listen. If there’s anything that I can do to make their day better, I do it. The small gifts that I can give to others bring peace to my soul.

Yogi Teas calm my world and bring me joy. Today is my birthday. A cup of Relaxed Mind while watching the sun rise was my gift to myself.

Namaste

Something that took me a very long time to learn. Once I did, my soul’s burden was lightened.

Your heart is lifted when you offer forgiveness. Forgive others and forgive yourself often … it purifies the soul.

My wife and I enjoy your teas daily. Thank You for being stellar in more ways than one.
